#WFD – Moroccan Chicken Livers

Add baby cherry tomatoes and coriander and serve hot.

POLOKWANE – Chicken Livers remain a favourite among many South Africans and this delicious recipe will definitely have the family asking for more.

What’s for Dinner says peppers, tomatoes and coriander add wonderful bright colours to this quick, simple, delicious winter warmer.

Ingredients

  1. 30ml vegetable oil
  2. 1 onion, chopped
  3. 1 green pepper, sliced
  4. 1 yellow pepper, sliced
  5. 1 red pepper, sliced
  6. 1.25ml garlic
  7. 500g chicken livers, cleaned
  8. 1.25ml paprika
  9. 1.25ml dried parsley
  10. 1 x KNORR Naturally Tasty Moroccan Chicken Recipe Mix
  11. 6 boiled potatoes, cut into quarters
  12. fresh coriander leaves
  13. 8 cherry tomatoes, halved

Method

  1. Place the oil, onion, peppers and garlic into a saucepan and cook gently for 5-8 minutes, or until softened.
  2. Add the livers to the pan and toss for about 20 minutes, or until firm and lightly browned.
  3. Sprinkle in the paprika, parsley and the contents of the sachet of KNORR Naturally Tasty Moroccan Chicken, and toss for about a minute.
  4. Simmer for 3 minutes.
  5. Add the boiled potatoes to the saucepan and simmer for 3 more minutes.
  6. Add the baby cherry tomatoes and coriander and serve hot.
