On the right track: Why residents visit the Phelophepa train instead of local clinics

Review asked some patients why they prefer coming to the train instead of making use of the Pietersburg Provincial Hospital and other clinics in the city.

POLOKWANE – A busy Polokwane Train Station is what most residents experienced this morning as the Phelophepa Health train made its way to Polokwane.

Here, patients have the opportunity to get dental, optometry, psychological and pharmaceutical help.

Review asked some patients why they prefer coming to the train instead of making use of the Pietersburg Provincial Hospital and other clinics in the city.

Betty Phalane: This is the third time I pay a visit to the health care providers on the train and I find that it is a lot cheaper than going anywhere else, as services are free and prescriptions only R5 each.
Salphy Mphela: My friend told me about the train so I decided to come this year. The fact that it is cheap is really great.
Grace Dolo: I love coming to the train for help as their service is really good. The personnel are very helpful and they screen you well. You also get the right medicine without trouble.
Phuti Simon Moloto: I visited the train for the first time last year and the experience was really good. I would rather come here as the service is much better than at other government institutions.
Anna Muroa: I heard that it is cheap to get help and your medication, and that is why I decided to come.
Rachelle Mvumvu: There are long queues at the provincial hospitals and they will sometimes tell you, after waiting all day, that you should come back another day. I’m positive that I will get good service here.
Monica Shokgola: I prefer coming to the train as the service is faster and better. it takes longer to get help at the provincial hospital.
Tokio Manamela: Coming to the train instead of going to the hospital will be quicker and easier.
Ramadimetja Mashita: I have eye problems and I heard that you get glasses here for free.
