Chupu Mathabatha re-elected as Limpopo ANC Chairperson

Mathabatha was re-elected unopposed as the provincial chairperson.

POLOKWANE – Mathabatha’s re-election came as a disgruntled group approached the High Court in Johannesburg to interdict the Limpopo ANC Elective Conference from going ahead.

According to the spokesperson for the ANC in Limpopo, Phuti Lekganyane, the top five were elected after intense lobbying and canvassing by delegates at the provincial conference.

Provincial Chairperson: Chupu Stan Mathabatha (uncontested)

Deputy Chairperson: Florence Radzilani

Provincial Secretary: Soviet Molapi Lekganyane

Deputy Provincial Secretary: Basikopo Makamu

Provincial Treasure: Danny Msiza

President Cyril Ramaphosa congratulated the newly elected leadership of the African National Congress (ANC) in Limpopo and commended delegates for exhibiting a disciplined front despite the legal battles hanging over the procedures of the conference.
