Zanis to host FIG Foundation Course in Polokwane

The course will be held at the Zanis Gymnastics Academy in Dorp Street from 24 to 28 June at the Old Peter Mokaba Sports Complex.

POLOKWANE РIn close co-operation with the F̩d̩ration Internationale de Gymnastique(FIG) Academy Program, SAGF are pleased to invite you to join Zanis Gymnastics for the FIG Foundation Course in Polokwane, from 24 to 28 June.

The Foundations of Gymnastics Courses are an evolution from the general Gymnastics courses that have been held around the world and have been completely updated to include the most contemporary knowledge. The course will include introductory coaching competence in each of the FIG gymnastics disciplines and it will serve as a pre-cursor for the FIG Academies.

The course will be held at the Zanis Gymnastics Academy in Dorp Street from 24 to 28 June at the Old Peter Mokaba Sports Complex.

Barbara Murphy.

Richard Marshall.

A total of 30 candidates from five countries taking part in this prestigious event will receive an International Gymnastics for All coaching certificate.

South Africa is represented by 18 participants from all nine provinces, including school’s gymnastics leaders, SAGF development hub coaches and beginner coaching course facilitators. The other four countries: Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Swaziland are each sending three participants to learn more advanced skills for the implementation of recreational and educational gymnastics for the further development of physical education and fundamental movement in Southern Africa.
