Driver and patient injured in ambulance accident in Hospital Street

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes as Hospital Street has temporarily been closed.

POLOKWANE – A taxi and an ambulance collided at the intersection of Market and Hospital Street, this morning.

The taxi was traveling in Market Street and the ambulance, transporting a patient who needed medical treatment, in Hospital Street when they collided.

The accident caused the ambulance to flip on its side, leaving the patient and the driver critically injured

They were both rushed to Pietersburg Provincial Hospital.
