[INFOGRAPHIC] How much water does your household appliances use?

Polokwane residents are all too familiar with the scenario of opening a tap expecting clean water to flow right out, but after a minutes realising that the tap is dry.

POLOKWANE – Every now and again Review lets you in on the current levels of the reservoirs to ensure that such scenario no longer come as a surprise. Adding a bit of a twist to it, we decided to set up an infographic to show you the amount of water that each household appliance makes use of.

Seeing as a shower is the most cost effective place in which to decrease water use, an inefficient shower head can use between 15l and 25l of water every minute while a higher quality shower head use as little as 6l to 7l every minute. A water efficient shower head is one comprising of a few holes and also uses a tiered metal flow regulator to increase water pressure.
