Woman crushed to death after falling onto conveyor belt at a mine in Alldays

Police have opened a case of culpable homicide and say investigations continue.

LIMPOPO – According to police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, the 31-year-old mining employee was killed at a mine in Alldays, outside Makhado, on Sunday afternoon, 25 March.

Mojapelo says the woman was crushed to death after falling onto a conveyer belt at the mine.

“The conveyor belt dragged her into a stone scrubber where her body was found trapped between the rocks with multiple wounds,” he said.

A case of culpable homicide has been opened.
