Shelly’s eyes set on the MESA title

24-year-old Shelly Tebele is all geared up to represent the province during the Miss Eagle South Africa (MESA) beauty pageant which will be held in Sandton later on in the year.

LIMPOPO –  “I have always loved modelling and dreamt of entering the modelling industry from a very young age. I have entered several beauty pageants which have helped me to enhance my knowledge on the modelling and the fashion industry,” she shared.

Tebele is also this province’s Miss Eagle South Africa (MESA) beauty pageant ambassador and holds a diploma in Law obtained from the University of South Africa. She regards herself as an accountable, selfless and confident individual, depicting these attributes in all that she does. “I have won titles such as Miss Burgersfort Public Choice 2016, Miss Justice Pageant 1st Runner Up 2017 which was about going to communities and educating people about morality. How I came to find out about MESA was through a friend who told me about the pageant in passing and during my research I found out that the pageant has more to offer than any other beauty pageant in terms of life skills and knowledge. For instance, MESA inspires as well as encourages women to strive to become the best versions of themselves and believe that they can achieve whatever they set their minds to, which is what I have been constantly learning about myself throughout this journey of becoming the next Miss Eagles South Africa. With the title of MESA I plan to help in every way possible towards making a difference in other people’s lives especially young women my age who are still trying to find themselves,” she explained.

The finalist is one who abides by a personal quote which reads ‘The lives I touched will be my legacy, change starts with me’ which is also evident in her additional role as a motivational speaker who seeks to inspire, change and empower young females and encourage them to dream big and to believe in their dreams.

The MESA finals will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre on Saturday, 15 December wherein various ambassadors from different provinces will be going head to head strutting not only their beauty but also their brains to win the title.

The 24-year-old urges the province to support her and help her in claiming the title by sending an SMS with the word Shelly to 35334. An SMS costs R3.
