POLOKWANE – At the beginning of each year, schools elect new leadership committees whose responsibilities include assisting educators manage and run schools effectively.
Review spoke to Hoërskool Westenburg Secondary’s newly elected Head Boy, Austin Southon and Head Girl, Amogelang Lephalale to find out what they plan to do to ensure that the school runs smoothly throughout the year.
The committee were elected by 24 class representatives after which a selected few (nominated) were asked to present a speech to the teachers and the school.
This was in the form of a competition and Amo and Southon stood out from the rest.
