Two minors die in Vuwani house fire
The Police have once again urged parent and residents to put the safety of a child first at all times following the tragic death of two minor children during a house fire in the Vuwani area on Sunday.
LIMPOPO – The two children were alone in a three bedroomed house at Lwamondo-Khumbe village when the incident occurred, said Police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
“It is alleged that a local resident who noticed a heavy smoke coming out from the said house and saw a huge flame of fire coming out through the curtains, summoned the police and fire brigade. However when the authorities arrived on the scene the house and all content had already been gutted in the fire. Both children were still inside,” he explained.
The deceased children have been identified as Rolivhuwa Tshifaro (4) and Ophunaho Tshifaro (3).
The cause of the fire is still unknown as Police and forensic investigations are still unfolding, concluded Ngoepe.
