N1 crash outside Modimolle claims 2 lives
Two people died and four people injured during a head-on collision which occurred along the N1 road at Middlefontein this morning.
LIMPOPO – “It is alleged the driver of an Isuzu LDV lost control of his vehicle and collided head-on with a Toyota LDV at around 06:40 this morning (Thursday),” says Spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala.
Both drivers died and four passengers sustained injuries and one seriously injured. All injuries patients were taken to a hospital in Modimolle for treatment.
The exact cause of the accident is not yet known however fatigue has not been ruled out, concluded Moremi-Taueatsoala.
