Manhunt launched for suspects following ATM bombing in Polokwane

A group of armed suspects robbed a garage along Thabo Mbeki Street in the early hours of Monday morning.

POLOKWANE – According to police spokesperson Constable Monatse Mamabolo, three armed men entered the shop at the garage and held up personnel.

“R6 000 was taken from the cash register before the suspects proceeded to bomb the safe with explosives where they managed to take an undisclosed amount of cash, Mamabolo said.

The suspects fled the scene in a white Mercedes Benz with an unknown registration number.

No one was injured during the incident and no arrests have been made as yet.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact the nearest police station or the crime stop number on 08600 10 111.
