Twin babies extracted from pit toilet in Mankweng
According to the Department of Health, the babies were saved on Sunday morning.

POLOKWANE – Spokesperson for the Department of Health, Thabiso Teffo says the twins were found in a pit toilet in the Mankweng area and were extracted at around 08:00 am on Sunday morning.
According to police spokesperson Captain Mohlaka Mashiane, police are investigating a case of concealment of birth.
Mashiane says a 30-year-old woman gave birth to twin boys in the pit toilet.
“People are urged to seek professional assistance for any domestic problem and must desist from resorting to inhumane methods of trying to solve problems,” he said.

“Unfortunately, one of the twins were declared dead and the other was transported to Mankweng Hospital,” Teffo concluded.
