Elderly Groblersdal kidnapping victim found – SAPS

61-year-old Frank Mositsa who was allegedly kidnapped in Groblersdal recently, is currently receiving medical attention at a local hospital

LIMPOPO – The kidnapping victim Frank Mositsa (61) was found this morning, confirmed the police on Sunday 7 January 2018.

The joint search operation which was launched following his disappearance led to his discovery on top of the mountains near the former SAPS Training Institution in Maleoskop outside Groblersdal, said Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

“He was found alive however could not talk, was penniless, his vehicle was missing and was immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention.”

The suspects involved in this matter are still unknown and there is no arrest.

LIMPOPO – The police have launched a search operation for 61-year-old Frank Mositsa who was allegedly kidnapped by unknown suspects while at a shopping complex in Groblersdal.

Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngope, said the victim together with his wife left his home in Vierfontein(vleisboom) Takataka, to go to Groblesdal for shopping when the alleged incident occurred.

His wife tells the police that they arrived in town she left her husband queuing inside the ABSA bank and went to another shop. However when she realised later that he was not coming she decided to go outside to the parking lot to check on him. In the parking lot she says she was surprised to find the car missing and alleged she later saw his vehicle, a white Isuzu double cab with registration numbers DZ05BVGP, driving away at a high speed within the central business district (CBD). She says she called her husband on his cellphone several times until an unknown man answered and later dropped the call.”

The police were notified and a search for him was launched with no success as yet.

Mositsa is described as being tall and light in complexion with short hair without beard. He was last seen wearing a pink spirit shirt with striped colour, Khakhi jean with black shoes and having ZCC badge (Star) on the chest.

He is currently employed at Ford/Mazda Motors cc in Orania in the Northern Cape Province and according to the family, he was still on vacation, confirmed Ngoepe.

The suspects involved in this matter are still unknown and there is no arrest. The police urge anyone who knows the whereabouts of the victim or has information which can lead to the arrest of the suspects involved in this matter, to contact Captain Richard Boshomane at 079 894 5501.
