BREAKING NEWS: Three suspects escape from Polokwane police holding cells

The provincial task team have launched a manhunt for the suspects

POLOKWANE – Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the three awaiting trial prisoners escaped from the police holding cells on Monday morning between 5:00 and 6:00 am.

“The three prisoners escaped by cutting the roof in the exercise compartment,” Ngoepe says.

The escapees are identified as follows:

– Charls Chialana (30): Arrested for house robbery and is also an accomplice in Patel Rameez’s murder case of his mother.

– Steven Rasenakana (19): Arrested for house robbery.

– Peter Moyo (26): Arrested under the Immigration Act.

Police investigations into the circumstances of their escape still continue.
