Pemps learners receive top positions at provincial competition

Review spoke to three of the best performing students to find out what was their highlight from the competition was.

POLOKWANE –  Gr R learners from Pemps performed exceptionally well at the Foundation Phase Provincial Competition for the year 2017 that took place at Bolivia Lodge recently.

Review spoke to three of the best performing students to find out what was their highlight from the competition was.

Reabetswe Mokwele got first position for colouring and pasting and said that she loves to colour and cut paper. “Teacher Karen always tells us to be careful when we use scissors and to also wash our hands after using glue,” she added with a grin.

Second place winner, Xongi Baloyi, said that she most enjoyed the puzzle building challenge as she had been practicing for a while. She proudly added that her mommy, her brothers and sisters had to help her build puzzles, but now she can do it all by herself.

And in the third place was Imani Maledzani who did exceptionally well in the reading out loud competition. “I love reading out loud because everyone listens to me.”

Karen Adlem, school principal, said that she and the school personnel are very proud of the learners outstanding performances. “These fun yet empowering activities allow the learners to grow their knowledge and enhance their intellectual capabilities.”
