#WFD – Easy Pepper Steak Pie

Serve this dish with mashed potato and vegetables.

POLOKWANE – Pepper Steak can be classified as one of the most popular pie flavours.

What’s for Dinner gives you an opportunity to make this dish yourself.

Ingredients

  1. 15ml oil
  2. 1 x KNORR Hearty Beef Stew with Rosemary Dry Cook-in-Sauce
  3. 50g flour
  4. 800g beef, cubed
  5. 500ml water
  6. 1 roll puff pastry (thawed)
  7. 15ml black pepper
  8. 1 egg, lightly beaten

Method

  1. Roll the beef cubes in the pepper and dust in flour.
  2. In a pan heat the oil and brown the cubes.
  3. Add the KNORR Hearty Beef Stew Cook-in-Sauce and water.
  4. Simmer for 25-30 minutes or until beef is tender.
  5. Place in an ovenproof dish or 4 individual dishes.
  6. Roll out the pastry and place over the mixture to create the top of the pie.
  7. Brush with beaten egg.
  8. Bake pie in a preheated 200°C oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve with mashed potato and vegetables.
