Limpopo police conduct widescale search for missing pensioner and teenager

The police are searching for two missing people, a 91-year-old pensioner from Moletjie Ga-Setshaba and a 15-year-old teenager from Mahwelereng, who went missing during separate incidents since Saturday.

LIMPOPO – Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe reports: “It is alleged Nare Jan Manamela (91) was last seen by family members on Saturday evening, 14 October 2017 before they left to go to a all night church service. “Upon their return the following morning he was no where to be found, but the gates on the property were still locked.”

The man has poor eye sight and cannot properly walk. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket with black pair of trousers and a tie.

The Police requests anyone with information about the whereabouts of this victim to contact Warrant Officer Caswell Mogale at the Matala Police Station on 079 920 7419.

Meanwhile in Mahwelereng the police are still searching for Precious Menu (15) from Ga-Magongoa who went missing on 15 October 2017 at around 14:00.

“It is alleged that the missing teenager texted her friend on Facebook on 16 October 2017 with a message stating that the place she is currently is a very dark unknown place.”

She was last seen wearing a pink and white short dress.

The police request anyone with information that might lead to the whereabouts of either of these missing people to contact their nearest police station, the 24-hour Crime Stop number on 08600 10 111 or SMS Line at 32211.
