Power failure still being attended to, says Muni

Power has been restored to parts of the city, says the Polokwane Municpality

POLOKWANE – According to the Polokwane Municipality power has been restored to most areas, however, during the repairs cables were accidentally damaged which has affected power supply to the mini-substations on the corner of Rissik and Magazyn streets and in Burger Street.

“Parts of Burger, Rissik, Devenish and Magazy will be affected as repairs are expected to take around 12 hours.” however power has been restored to the other affected areas,” they say.

The municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused and will continue to work around the clock to ensure that electricity is restored as soon as it is possible.

POLOKWANE – A power failure is affecting parts of the CBD from Burger Street through to Webster Street.

The municipality says technicians are searching for the fault of the outage.

An update will be made as soon as feedback is received from the technicians.

Motorists are advised to use intersections as fourway stops and be alert when crossing.
