POLOKWANE – The Osie-gala is being held today, 13 September 2017.
It was a fun filled morning were Laerskool Pietersburg-Oos learners could show their skills in the pool while the parents supported them from the sidelines.
Adriaan Du Plessis (7) says his favourite swimming style is Freestyle because he feels it is the style he excels at.Taking the easier approach is Ashleigh Smith (12) who says she loves Breaststroke. “It’s much easier to learn than the other styles,” she told Review.In her first gala at the school, Katelyn Ferns (6) says she enjoyed swimming freestyle the most.“I’ve been swimming since the age of 8months, and my Mom told me that I loved the back stroke and Freestyle, which I still do now,” Marinelle Smit (12) told Review.At the end of the day, swimming is not just about excercise but about having fun while doing it and for Yoalise Els (6), breaststroke gives her the chance to have fun and ease her way through the pool.
