SABC celebrate woman’s month
The SABC in collaboration with Longrich company organised a Woman’s Day Celebration event on Wednesday 30 August at the South African National Defence Force (SANDF)
POLOKWANE – The event began with a welcoming of guests by the SABC Limpopo General Manager, Tshamaano Makuya.
With ladies dressed in pink, guests were treated to performances by Encore and the Muzo Brothers and a special presentation by Longrich about their products.
Lerato Maseogane was the charismatic MC for the day.
Guest Speaker Tshianeo Phathela, a SABCjJournalist, spoke about the importance of Woman’s Day in general, saying that women should indeed take care of themselves and that they should also be cautious in whatever they do. “A woman performs all the duties of a man but a man cannot do all that a woman can do. A woman is born with the power to save and love, her existence is based on the truthfulness in her eyes. Let’s all appreciate ourselves as women and love ourselves,” Phathela said.
Sisanda Yaya and Ntsako Manganyi, from the SABC, were in charge of handing over gifts to the guests, as a token of appreciation for their time and presence.
