Department of Health ‘perturbed’ as yet another ambulance is stolen

An ambulance from the Lebowakgomo Emergency Services was stolen on Saturday.

LIMPOPO – In a statement released by the department, it says that a Toyota Quantum, registration number GHG 753 L ,attached to the Lebowakgomo Emergency Services was stolen on Saturday morning.

The department says it is immensely perturbed as this act has a direct impact on their concerted effort of delivering quality health care services, whilst improving the quality of life of people in the provine.

“This directly reduces our capacity to transport /transfer patients for further management and care, sometimes with devastating consequences,” the statement read.

The department says criminals, who are “hell-bent on bringing Limpopo’s Health System to its knees,” are living amongst our midst.

The department has therefore urged the community, to volunteer to the police, any piece of information they might have with regards to the stolen vehicles.
