Polokwane City FC sign new players

Although activities for the new soccer season are expected to start next month, it is already business as usual in the Polokwane City camp.

POLOKWANE – The team signed three players after they recently released Sipho Jembula, Tlou Sekgolela, Jory Matjela, Esau Kanyenda, Sibusiso Msibi, Bonginkosi Zuma and Pule Konopi.

The club’s CEO, Tincy Tema, confirmed they have acquired the services of Ndivhuwo Ravhuhali from Baroka FC, Wiseman Maluleke from Jomo Cosmos and Bongile Booi from Milano United FC. Tema said Ravhuhali will be in their colours this season after long speculation that he trained with the team.

“The signing of players like Maluleke and company outlines our ambitions of playing well in PSL next season. Everything has been finalised and he should be available for selection in our first league match next month,” he said, adding that the aim is to rebuild the team.

Most of the players who were released featured primarily in the first team last season. This was confirmed by Tema.

Speaking about the team’s new season plan, Tema said: “The team will have a completely new look. The coach met with board members to discuss plans for the new season: he is focusing on bringing in new players.”
