Case against suspect caught with CAT worth R1.3 million remanded to 7 August

A 49 year-old suspected drug dealer was arrested by the Hawks on Friday 21 July

LIMPOPO – The suspect was arrested during an intelligence driven operation in the area after he was found to be in possession of 4.6kg of CAT drugs with an estimated street value of R1.3 million.

He reappeared before the Bela Bela Magistrate’s Court on 2 August for a formal bail application, where he was remanded in custody until 7 August, Hawks Spokesperson, Captain Matimba Maluleke confirmed.


LIMPOPO – A 49 year-old suspected drug dealer arrested by the Hawks on Friday 21 July was remanded in custody by the Bela Bela Magistrate’s Court today (Monday)

The suspect was arrested during an intelligence driven operation in the area after he was found to be in possession of 4.6kg of CAT drugs with an estimated street value of R1.3 million.

The suspect will appear before the court on 2 August for a formal bail application.


LIMPOPO – A 49 year-old suspected drug dealer was arrested by the Hawks during an intelligence driven operation on Friday, 21 July.

The Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Unit and Crime Intelligence members were following up on information received about suspect transporting drugs in the Bela Bela area.

According to Hawks Spokesperson, Captain Matimba Maluleke, the suspected vehicle was spotted in the area and was immediately stopped. “The vehicle was searched and 4.6kg of CAT drugs with an estimated street value of R1.3M were found,” he added.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Bela Bela Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 24 July 2017.
