Three parolees arrested after woman gang raped in Polokwane

SAPS arrested the men in both Seshego and Gauteng.

POLOKWANE – The three parolees, between the ages of 31 and 45-years-old, kidnapped and robbed two women in their twenties, last month. One of the women was raped.

Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the three suspects offered two victims a lift within the Polokwane CBD, on the way to Mankweng.

Along the way, the suspects staged a fake robbery and took the victims to an isolated spot around Westernburg where one victim was gang-raped, whilst the other suspects went to withdraw money from the nearby ATM’s in town with the victim’s bank cards.

“From the moment of reporting this incident, this police operation went out beyond the call of duty until the suspects were arrested in Gauteng and Seshego, outside Polokwane,” Ngoepe explains.

During the arrest, the victims’ cellphones and the VW City Golf which was used during the incident were recovered.
