Unqle Chriz standing up against the ‘Inhumane’ treatment of women

Christopher Unqle Chriz Baloyi, an RnB artist from Phalaborwa, is standing up against woman abuse through his music.

POLOKWANE – The 32-year-old says he wrote Inhumane to draw attention to the violent acts against women in the country in recent times. Christopher says his friend and business associate, Tirani Mthembi, prompted him to write the song.

“I had to put myself in these women’s shoes, these women who are abused in order to at least try to feel what they feel, how would I as a person and individual feel if I was suddenly abused, beaten to a pulp by another person because I offended them or something along those lines, it was hard but I did. I imagined my own mother going through such and really, I would not even continue to imagine such, it’s painful,” he explains.

Baloyi says this is his way of giving back to the community and women in general. He does not receive any royalty fees and the song can be downloaded from the internet for free.

Baloyi advises men to stop the violence and abuse. “The women that you are abusing is someone’s daughter, mother, sister, aunt, someone out there depends on this woman for financial support and emotional support,” he concludes.
