POLOKWANE – A memorial service will be held for him at the Seshego Honeymoon Lodge (next to Seshego police station), tomorrow at 12:00pm, where local and different designers will show their talent, singers will perform and dancers will dance in remembrance of him and his unforgettable talent.

The whole event will be dedicated to Sipho Tleane.

The community is invited to come to Sipho’s memorial service, everyone who had a love and passion for his style and taste of fashion, friends and fans that knew Sipho are welcome to come and pay their last respect to the fashion icon.

People were left reeling from the shock news of the death of fashion designer and icon, Sipho Tleane, on Sunday.

Tleane was a well-known designer in the city and Limpopo and he worked closely with the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, who sent their deepest condolences to the family, on several fashion events.

He dressed well-known artists such as Mahlatse Vokal Matji from Muzo Brothers who only spoke highly of the late designer.

Sipho’s incredible talent as a fashion designer was acknowledged by internationally renowned fashion designer, David Tlale, who granted him the best established designer award during the inaugural Marula Fashion Extravaganza, hosted by the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture in April.

Tleane was also the creator of #100MenInSuits, a concept which encourages men to dress neatly and stylish.

“Tleane took his fashion field of work extremely seriously and he had created job opportunities for four young people in different areas around Limpopo. He helped many youths with brand management and many other business aspects including how to run a business professionally.”
