Sepedi rapper shares new single with fans

Fans of the young lyricist will be pleasantly surprised by his latest offering

LIMPOPO – Rabuti Fletcher Mog Mogooane’s  latest single, Nda Vho-Makhadzi, is a stand out Tshivenda hit.

His passion for music began while he was in high school and he is a hip hop artist whose music is strongly influenced by African tradition.

Chechela Morago, his first single produced and released by Ron Epidemic in 2013, gave the South African music industry a heads-up to watch out for Limpopo musicians as they have arrived on the scene.

The single was played on various local radio stations such as Tubatse FM, Capricorn FM, and VUT FM.

In 2014 he released his second single, Let’s do it again, was just as well received. His debut album, Tja Limpopo, was released in 2014 and sold more than 200 copies across South Africa.

In expansion of himself as a brand, he began Tja Limpopo which covers entertainment and clothing.

“I rap with Sepedi, Xitsonga, and Tshivenda because I want to mix these languages. I got involved in music in 2012 and was encouraged by kwaito singer, Gabriel Mashigo. I take inspiration from my surroundings, my dedication, and the people I live with for my songs. My music is a tribal hip-hop in which I mix tribal sounds with the latest hip-hop trends.”

He explained he chose to write his latest single in Tshivenda because he realised Xitsonga and Tshivenda also need to be heard.

“Music defines me. I can express my feelings through music – my anger and fear all get an outlet through my music. My ultimate goal is to be the owner of my own entertainment company.”
