Search for missing man continues outside Burgersfort

Police in Leboeng have embarked on a massive search for a missing person.

LIMPOPO – The search is being led by two K9 Units from both Tzaneen and Burgersfort in conjunction with the local community, Community Police Forum and YCOP.

It is alleged that Peter Serope Maoko (45) from Kgautswane village in Matshiretsane went missing on Wednesday morning after his wife noticed he was nowhere to be found.

Police spokesperson Lt Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says the woman immediately reported the matter to the community and the police and the search began on Saturday with no success.

“Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this man may contact Detective Constable Tumelo Shai at 082 594 1798 or the nearest Police station as well as the crime stop number 0860010111 or the crime line sms 32211,” said Ngoepe.
