Dancing duo bring home the silver

Adelaide and Thabo brought home second place at the National Dance Championships in Durban.

POLOKWANE -Dancing duo Adelaide Hlungwani and Thabo Bruno Nojaj made Limpopo proud at the National Dance Championships in Durban Kwa Zulu-Natal.

“Our family and friends are very supportive of our career. We were accompanied by Yasmin Jardine, who was in charge of taking photos of us, and our coach Jack Mawasha (Founder of JAMA Dance Studios), she said.

Adelaide said her and Thabo were with the Yosdac Team from Lebowakgomo who also competed in the championships.

Adelaide says they had a great time at the championships and says they worked really hard during rehearsals.

“We rehearsed for about two hours in the mornings, and about four hours in the afternoon, until we got the steps right and on point,” she added.

Both Thabo and Adelaide urged other upcoming dance couples to not give up on their passion, and that they should try by all means to dance and work hard so that they are able to qualify to compete in the championships.

The dancing duo will participate in the Arnold Classic Africa from 5-7 May 2017, at the Sandton Convention Centre.
