SASSA grants will be paid on 3 April and not 1 April
Minister Bathabile Dlamini, on Sunday, once again apologised for the anxiety caused by the saga.
POLOKWANE – Dlamini assured that the more than 17 million beneficiaries of SASSA grants would get paid at the beginning of April.

However, only those who are paid via their bank accounts will receive their social grants on April 1. Those who usually collect grants at South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) pension paypoints will be able to do so only on April 3.
As the first of the month falls on a Saturday, as with all occasions when the grant payment date falls over a weekend, SASSA pay points will not be open.
We remind all beneficiaries to check your slip as issued when you got your last payment to see where and when your payment date is.

Government has noted that all SASSA pay points will operate as normal on 3 April, and recipients are encouraged to go on their respective days and respective pay points.
