Two die in blaze after head on collision near Makhado

The collision occurred last night, 18 March on the N1.

LIMPOPO- Police in Makhado are investigating a case of culpable homicide following an accident which occurred along N1 between Polokwane and Makhado just 20 kilometres outside Makhado.

It is alleged that two motor vehicles which were going opposite directions collided head before catching alight and burning to ashes.

Police spokesperson, LT Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says the two occupants of a Corsa bakkie were a 25-year-old woman and a four-year-old girl child.

He says the driver of the second car, a Jeep Discovery ,was a 34-year-old man who survived sustained serious burn wounds and he is recovering in hospital.

“The cause of this accident is unknown and police investigations are still continuing,” Ngoepe concluded.
