Baroka: WE’RE BACK

Baroka FC Spokesperson, Jimmy Ngobeni, says the team is getting back on track and beating Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday will be the testimony.

LIMPOPO – Winless in 14 league encounters, Bakgaga face a challenging task against the high-flying Soweto giants at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, with entertainment on and off the pitch scheduled for Saturday evening.

Ngobeni said there is no injuries in the camp and the team will play its entertainment carpet football. “There is no way Chiefs can beat us, three points will remain here in Limpopo. We played against Amakhosi three times and beat them in the Nedbank Cup, Fame Charity Cup and a league match. We drew with them in their own backyard, so it will be difficult for them to beat us on our home turf,” he adds.

“Players will be aggressive because they want to see the team remaining in the PSL next season. We have completed the signing of former SuperSport United midfielder, Letladi Madubanya. Luvhengo Mungomeni is not yet signed but he is training with us,” Ngobeni adds.

Letladi Madubanya is one of the recent additions to the Baroka team. He is expected to play a vital role in the team’s clash against the Soweto giants on Saturday.

Kick-off is scheduled for 20:15 and the gates will open at 15:30 with a lot of razzmatazz at the stadium.

“Supporters are requested to come early for the game to reduce congestion close to kick-off time. The team, assembled by the technical team through the support of management, is ready to give the supporters their money’s worth,” Ngobeni says.

He adds all stakeholders have been involved in preparing for the big game and security in and out of the stadium is in place to ensure supporters are safe. Emergency personnel will be deployed around the stadium in case of a medical emergency.

“We are in the process of organising with several schools whose learners will come in their masses to support the club. This arrangement will be done by the schools themselves to be part of the event through the marketing department of the club. There will be a full programme throughout the day which will offer an abundance of entertainment.”

Tickets are available from Computicket and selected Shoprite Checkers stores.
