Mokopane police nab suspects with multiple offences

The arrests were made during a a crime prevention operation dubbed Operation Bontsha Mohala, or Lead by Example.

MOKOPANE – The Mokopane and Mahwelereng police worked together this past weekend in a crime prevention operation dubbed Operation Bontsha Mohala, or Lead by Example.

Two suspects aged 29 and 37 respectively were arrested for theft out of a motor vehicle.

Their other offences include contravention of the road traffic act, possession of counterfeit goods, public drinking, illegal possession of fire arms, driving under the influence, and possession of illegal substances, drugs, stolen property and the rendering of unregistered security services.

The community expressed their gratitude toward the police for their hard work to make Mokopane and surrounding areas a safer place.
