Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality Mayor, Pule Shayi, said the Marula Festival concerts continue to play a vital role in the economy, for their district and Limpopo as a whole.

“As municipality we will continue  to support all stakeholders throughout the festival. Through the kwaito legends, music heavyweights, and other award-winning artists, we want to make the festival a resounding success. We have even welcomed several international revelers which shows that Limpopo and our country as a whole is making waves in the music industry,” Shayi said.

One of the partygoers, Arnold Mogale, said he enjoyed being part of the Kwaito Concert and he looks forward to joining in other fun activities during the Marula Festival.

CV also had the opportunity to chat with well-known artist, Heavy K, who told CV being part of the Kwaito Concert was not only immense fun, it also gave him the opportunity to gain more exposure for his music.

“I enjoyed performing in Limpopo and I look forward to doing so again. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many fans I have in Limpopo and it was humbling when they danced and sang along to my songs,” he said.
