Passion, perseverance & hard work never fail Kowkie
“My biggest dream is to spread the message of love through my music to motivate house music lovers.”
POLOKWANE – A local businesswoman, Koketso Kowkie Madileng (22), says not even her business can separate her from the love she has for music.
The local house music vocalist’s musical career took off in 2014 and has released 10 singles to date and declares Love Affair as her hit song.
According to Kowkie, she learned about music at an early age and this motivated her to join a church choir. She explains that she tried singing various genres but she could only excel in house music.
“I tried recording gospel, soul-music and hip hop but realised the genres were not for me and that is when I joined the house music industry. I plan to release a full album soon which I believe will influence a lot of people.”
Kowkie has performed in various music festivals in the province and says she has been getting a positive response.
She is currently running her business, Lotanang General Enterprise, which deals with various things such as marketing and events management, among others.
She urges the youth to chase after their dreams until they become a reality. Kowkie has been studying a Bcom in Business Management at the University of Limpopo and will be graduating this year.
She adds that her fans can follow her on social networks to find website links to enable them to download and listen to her songs online.
