The #Riding4SAeducation campaign recently made their stop at Arons Sport to take a rest before travelling to their next destination.

The main purpose of the campaign is to travel 3 000 km across South Africa to raise funds and awareness about the importance of early childhood education. The final stop is in Cape Town.

The funds collected from the ride will be used for upgrading toilets, kitchens and libraries at schools, purchasing school shoes for those who can’t afford it and bicycles for the learners who have to walk far distances to schools.

The team of supporters and cyclists are very happy to be a part of this journey for education.

Azhar Vadi, recreational cyclist, along with other cyclists who joined in the travel, stopped for a rest and something to eat at Arons Sport in Mokopane.

Vadi thanked the generosity of guesthouses and other overnight facilities for their accommodation along their travels, making it one of the things they do not have to worry about.

Some of the cyclist who joined Azhar Vadi on the #Riding4SAeducation journey.

“At the beginning the journey seemed close to impossible but it became easier day by day as we became adjusted to the strenuous pace and exercise. Motorists along the road are very accommodating and we have received many gestures of support on our journey.”

The motivation that keeps them going is the importance of basic education in developing the country.
