2013 a good year with a global sales record

“2013 was a significant year for the Chevrolet brand with 25 product launches around the world including all-new versions of our most iconic nameplates like the Corvette, Impala and Silverado,” said Alan Batey, senior vice president, Global Chevrolet.

“The strength of our new products coupled with a greatly transformed retail experience allowed Chevrolet to attract more consumers to the brand and achieve record global sales,” Batey added.

Chevrolet sales in the US, China, Brazil and Mexico, its four largest markets, were up a combined 4%.

The top five Chevrolet sales markets in 2013 with the percentage difference to the previous year were:

US – 1 947 125 (5,2%).

China – 652 077 (4,0 %).

Brazil – 649 792 (1,1 %).

Mexico – 193 072 (7,6 %).

Russia – 174 649 (14,8 %).

The Cruze sedan remained Chevrolet’s best-selling nameplate globally.

Since being launched in 2008, Chevrolet has sold over 2.5 million Cruze models.

Chevrolet aims to continue to build excitement for the brand with the debut of the all-new Corvette Z06 and the C7.R racecar at the 2014 North American International Auto Show.
