Good Hope athlete shine on the track

Reneilwe Chuene, a 10-year-old Grade 6 learner managed to secure second place in the 1 200 metre marathon. This is what the star athlete had to say about her performance.

POLOKWANE – Good Hope Primary learners have done extremely well in the recent cluster school athletics.

Reneilwe Chuene, a 10-year-old Grade 6 learner managed to secure second place in the 1 200 metre marathon. This is what the star athlete had to say about her performance.

“I feel very happy about my performance. Now I want to make sure that I make my school proud. I want to reach the national level,” Chuene said. The school’s principal, Cindy Buys, said the school is proud of all their athletes.

“They are making us extremely proud and we will support them every step of the way,” Buys explained. The athletes who advanced to the next round are training for the district level of the athletics.
