#WFD – Perfect Roast Potatoes

The perfect roast potato is a perfect side dish to any roast.

POLOKWANE – You can contest a lot of people on this but there is nothing greater than a perfectly roasted potato.

Delicious golden nuggests that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside are the perfect side for any roast and let’s be honest, they can be a meal on their own.

In trying to perfect it on your own, you could always make use of What’s for Dinner’s recipe for Perfectly roasted Potatoes.

Ingredients

  1. 8 x large potatoes length ways, peeled and sliced in half (floury potatoes are best for roasting)
  2. 120ml sunflower oil
  3. 1 x sachet KNORR Creamy Garlic and Herb Potato Bake

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C
  2. Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with water then bring to the boil
  3. Once boiling allow to cook for 5 minutes then drain – be careful not to over boil or your potatoes will turn to mash
  4. Vigorously shake the potatoes the colander in order to roughen up the outsides slightly
  5. In a bowl whisk together the oil and the contents of the sachet of KNORR Garlic & Herb Potato Bake
  6. Place the potatoes flat side down in a roasting tray and pour the oil mixture over
  7. Roast in the oven for 50 minutes to one hour turning over once half way through and basting with the oil regularly.
