Zar Nation: making exercise fun

Zar Nation is a youth movement and their products are sold online to reach more customers without the need of opening stores across South Africa.

POLOKWANE – Zar Nation incorporates a lifestyle section through exercise and a healthy diet is encouraged.

It is a clothing brand developed specifically with a healthy lifestyle and exercise in mind and was founded in Lebowakgomo.

Brand founder and CEO, Prince Ngoetshana, said the idea for the brand was born when they realised the importance of exercise and decided to motivate others through their clothing brand to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

“The concept was founded in October and we make use of social media platforms to promote our brand and encourage a healthy lifestyle through uploading exercise videos on our Facebook page. There are several clothing lines under the Zar Nation umbrella such as a line of children’s clothes as well as a casual line for adults. We make use of a multi-level marketing strategy to create more exposure for our brand,” Prince said.

He explained that with the multi-level marketing strategy, they encourage their existing distributors to recruit new distributors by paying the existing distributors a percentage of their recruits’ sales; the recruits are known as a distributor’s downline.

“Zar Nation is a youth movement and we sell our products online to reach more customers without the need of opening stores across South Africa. As part of our marketing strategy we have regular competitions in collaboration with Greater Lebowakgomo Community radio station (GLFM) where we give away clothing hampers to lucky listeners. This encourages them to listen to radio stations and read the news so they can be kept up to date about what is happening in the world around them,” he added.

They also incorporate travel guides where they encourage people to explore our beautiful country.

Zar Nation wants to help people create realistic goals when they join the gymnasium instead of simply just exercising without a goal in mind.

Exercise without a goal tends to become monotonous and repetitive. With clear goals you can see your improvements and measure how close you are to achieving your goals.

Visit their Facebook page ZAR Nation to learn more about the brand or place an order.
