Jordaan kidnapping case postponed again

Hawks Spokesperson, Lt Matimba Maluleke confirmed that Jordaan and her co-accused, Leon du Preez appeared in the Polokwane Magistrates Court on 19 January.

POLOKWANE – The kidnapping case against Berdine Jordaan has been postponed until 21 February.

Hawks Spokesperson, Lt Matimba Maluleke confirmed that Jordaan and her co-accused, Leon du Preez appeared in the Polokwane Magistrates Court on 19 January, where the case was again postponed.

Jordaan was arrested in July last year after a police investigation led authorities to Musina where Jordaan, her five-year-old daughter and a 14-year-old girl were discovered hiding in a cupboard in the house of the second accused, Leon du Preez.

After being questioned, police linked Jordaan to the case.

Du Preez was arrested in August 2016.

Both accused face charges of kidnapping and defeating the ends of justice.
