POLOKWANE – Francis Sebola’s hand was accidentally caught in one of the machines in the factory.

NMG Branch Manager, Hannes Cilliers, said despite the hospital and orthopaedic surgeon’s best efforts, four fingers had to be amputated due to the extent of the damage.

“We deeply regret the unfortunate incident and we are doing all in our power to offer assistance to Sebola and his family.

“NMG wants him to receive the best medical care possible. We visited him in hospital and despite the ordeal he is in jovial mood,” Cilliers added.

NMG thanks Martene and David Dennison from the South African Paramedic Services, Hannes Hattingh and Gerhard Jacobs and the emergency services personnel from ER24, the local fire brigade, Jaco Jakes van Zyl from the Limpopo Department of Health, Netcare Pholoso Hospital Manager, Sydney Masalla, the personnel, and NMG staff for their assistance.
