Golf club teeing off the new year with bang

Polokwane Golf Club's new head professional, Jean Sadie, aims to improve the golf practice facilities and driving range at the club.

POLOKWANE – Since taking up the position as head professional at the club, Sadie has implemented several changes and improvements to the facilities and says this is only the beginning.

Along with improved golf training nets, paving was also added to make the facilities easier to access for golfers. His offices were also moved to the Polokwane Golf Club premises to enable him to keep his finger more securely on the developmental pulse.

“Moving the offices for my golf academy, Sadie’s Golf Experience, to the Polokwane Golf Club enables me to keep an eye on the development of the premises while allowing me to still give my academy and students the attention they deserve.

“I invite anyone who are interested in enrolling their children at the academy to come and visit my offices anytime. Golf is my passion and I love to help others, especially children, develop a love for the sport,” he said.

Although he has a bright future in mind for the improvements and development at the polokwane Golf Club, his finances are limited and he encouraged any potential sponsors to contact him at the club to help him realise his vision.

The next development plans for the club include adding spotlights which will enable golfers to practice at night along with adding new golfing mats at the club.

“We want to make the practice facilities at the club state-of-the-art in order to offer golfers the best experience possible at the Polokwane Golf Club,” Sadie added.

He thanked the sponsors who have come on board so far, PG Glass Polokwane, Xerox Polokwane, and Limpopo Brick and Pavement, for their assistance with most of the improvements at the club so far.

“We are teeing off the new golfing year with bang and anyone interested in joining the fun and relaxing sport can contact me at 072 207 1139 for any information.”
