POLOKWANE – According to a statement issued by Polokwane Municipality’s Spokesperson Matshidiso Mothapo, the Dalmada line was fixed this morning (Saturday) and pumping will resume from Dap Naude’ dam.
“It will take some time before the water reaches the city and reservoir levels rise,” said Mothapo.
Repairs are still being done on the pump station that was hit by lightning at the Sand River. Once all repairs are completed the reservoir levels will rise and water will be pushed to affected areas,” he added.
Mothapo says residents at low catchment areas are advised to use water sparingly. “The municipality is working to ensure that water is restored as soon as possible,” said Mothapo.
