King Monada heads home for Red Bull Kas’ lami

The lineup for the Red Bull Kas' lami event also includes house DJ's Da Capo and Jullian Gomes, as well as Emtee and many others

POLOKWANE – The city’s hottest rapper, King Monada is heading home to light up the stage at the PLK Waterland Shisanyama this coming weekend for the third annual Red Bull Kas’lami celebration.

Red Bull Kas’lami travels to the coolest townships around South Africa to celebrate local township culture through music, art and dance. With the homegrown talent and vibe that Polokwane offers, it’s no surprise that this year’s Kas’lami is taking place in the city. It’s all going down on Sunday, 4 December, so it’s the perfect way to start the summer month and get into the holidays.

Among those performing is one of Polokwane’s biggest exports King Monada, whose anthemic hit Ska Bhora Moreki is taking over the airwaves. He is excited to come home and perform, saying: “It’s always a great pleasure performing in my hometown. Being recognised by your own town is a great achievement”.

“There will be a few laughs here and there as I will interact with my fans,” he says. The lineup also includes house DJ’s Da Capo and Jullian Gomes, as well as Emtee and many others. Besides the music, festival-goers will enjoy art exhibitions and public workshops dedicated to showcasing the art of music. All tickets sold at Computicket. Doors open at 10:00.
