Are you a sufferer of Trypophobia? Take this test to find out

Many people think having a fear is a sign of weakness but what people don’t know is that most people have some degree of fear of anything from using an elevator to insects the size of a peanut.

POLOKWANE – But when fears become so severe that they cause tremendous anxiety and interfere with daily life, they’re called phobias.

A phobia is an intense fear of something that poses little or no actual danger. One such phobia is Trypophobia which is a “fear of holes”. Trypophobia is a condition which triggers individuals to suffer an emotional reaction when viewing seemingly innocuous images of clusters of objects, usually holes.

An image on WhatsApp has been circulated recently which warns people not to touch a certain bug as it will spread a virus throughout the body with trypophobic pictures along with the warning. This is a hoax. The bug in question is in fact a water bug and majority of the photos have been photoshopped and therefore anyone who has received this message should know that it is not true.
