Two in court for murder of local brothers

The bodies of the deceased were found with multiple stab wounds, says the Seshego Police

POLOKWANE – Two of the three suspects arrested in connection with the murder of two brothers on Sunday appeared before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court yesterday (Wednesday).

The case against murder accused Tlou Marcus Mochoeneng (34) and Thabo Collins Ramaboya (26) was remanded to 11 November for formal bail application said Police Spokesperson LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

“The suspects remain in custody. The third suspect a woman was not charged,” Ngoepe added.

The arrest came after the bodies of the deceased, identified as Tshepo Setoaba (25) and Katlego Setoaba (23), were found with multiple stab wounds approximately 500m from a local tavern in Sengatane village, Moletjie.

It is alleged that two groups, one from Sengatane and one group from Seshego Zone 5 were fighting at the tavern at around 05:30 yesterday (Sunday) morning when the incident occurred.

The investigations are still continuing and more arrests are expected.

POLOKWANE – Police in Seshego arrested three suspects, two men and one woman on two counts of murder that occurred on Sunday, 6 November in Sengatane village, Moletjie.

The arrest came after the bodies of two men were found approximately 500m from a local tavern with multiple stab wounds.

It is alleged that two groups, one from Sengatane and one group from Seshego Zone 5 were fighting at the tavern at around 05:30 yesterday (Sunday) morning when the incident occurred. It is believed the brothers were stabbed multiple times during the fight.
A statement issued by LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe states the deceased have been identified as brothers Tshepo Setoaba (25) and Katlego Setoaba (23).
The cause of the fight is still unknown and the suspects, aged 34, 26 and 19 will appear before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court soon.
Investigations are continuing and more arrests are expected.
