A security guard of a cash-in-transit company was overpowered by four armed suspects

 

MOKOPANE – A security guard of a cash-in-transit company was overpowered by four armed suspects on Saturday in Nelson Mandela Drive at around 11:30.

Provincial Police Spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto reported: “The security guard picked up the money in the store and was on his way to the security vehicle when he was approached by two armed suspects, who demanded the money bag at gunpoint. Another two armed suspects climbed out of their vehicle and assisted the other two suspects to put the money bag in their vehicle. They then fled the scene.” Otto further said: “No shots were fired and no one was hurt. Investigations by the Hawks Unit are ongoing.”
