‘Flow’ing through the rap game

Kashflow and Flomatic say they want to change the rap game

LIMPOPO – Master lyricists, Kashflow (27) and Flomatic (20), teamed up to establish On My Grind (OMG), a musical group which is a force to be reckoned. The duo share a passion for rap music.

Kashflow just bade “Venrap” music farewell a couple of months ago, a move that left the multitudes guessing what his next move would be. Kashflow, real name, Mulanga Ralioma, was discovered by Mbavhalelo “Fizzy” Radebe in 2010. Together they established a group called TOOFAB Music and recruited members to their stable.

Not only is Kashflow an artist, he also holds a diploma in graphic design from a popular business college in Pretoria, where he spends most of his time these days. He released two mixed tapes in 2014 and in 2015, he released an album titled Zwire Mbiluni which earned a lot of airplay from various radio stations. His album won a Tshivenda Music Award for Best hip hop award (King of Venrap).

Arina Marwala, stage name Flomatic, took second place at the “Born to Entertain” competition. He has been reaching out to people through music from the age of 17. He says: “In recent months, I have been performing at numerous gigs and clubs located in Pretoria to get recognition,” Flomatic explains. The two say they want to expand their musical journey and bring about change in their rap game and that’s when OMG was born.

Moreover, we are planning to re-introduce ourselves and the group by releasing two songs titled OMG and G-section, including a teaser for the new music video. “We are now focusing on getting recognition nationally and moving away from Venrap as a genre. OMG’s goal is to represent our hometowns on national TV,” Kashflow concluded.
